Fort Seymour
Trade Center
“Fort Seymour Proper” refers to the Trade Center commonly seen as folks pass through, conduct business at town markets, and meet once a month to catch up with traveling friends. Technically, Fort Seymour also consists of the farms and homesteads that support and benefit from the Trade Center.
Demographics
Landsmen are the most populous Lineage, with Lascarians close behind due to the presence of the Nightwings. A few Elitariat families maintain business and residences around Fort Seymour, like the Kings, Pulliams, Ransoms, and Bellamys. Townies congregate in the more urban sections of the settlement. The remaining Lineages see some representation as folks travel through.
Alignment
Fort Seymour has no laws on the books. They were given the moniker “Raider Town” during their conflict with the Iron Works and their siding with King Louie, and they have defended that name fervently. Despite what seems like a chaotic existence, the town is welcoming and supportive. They are guaranteed to protect their own from external threats, and thoroughly excise those who become internal threats.
Location
Fort Seymour takes up a similar footprint to pre-Fall Greenfield, IN. It is east of Speedtown (pre-Fall Indianapolis) and west of Heart’s Grove. The closest settlement is Beck’s Hold, a smaller settlement that has had a contentious relationship with Fort Seymour since the fall of the Lilly family.
